Website Design Position Available

WebSpark is a small website design and development company on the Gold Coast. Our client base is increasing and we require the design talents of other freelances to help us keep up with demand. We are looking for an experienced website designer who has an online portfolio of their work. You will ideally have a background in web design in either freelance or agency experience.

About the Role:

Your role will be a sub-contractor position, meaning you will have little to no contact with the client. WebSpark head office will handle all the admin, client contact and quality control. You will be required to create websites from design to construction on a per project basis. You can expect 1 to 2 websites per week, or how ever many you can take on. This is an ongoing contract opportunity with rates negotiable with experience. We do have a in-house CMS system, its very easy to use, full training of our system and processes will be provided. You can be located anywhere in Australia.

Brief overview of the freelance process:

  • We quote and collect a design brief from our client
  • We send you a brief for the work to be completed, files and a time frame for completion.
  • You do the work from your home/office
  • Send all files to us, we will approve or ask you to make adjustments until the design meets WebSpark standards.
  • We will then get client approval.
  • You will be paid on project completion.

Essential requirements include:

  • ABN number, as you will be responsible for your own TAX.
  • Excellent knowledge of Dreamweaver, Photoshop
  • Basic knowledge of Flash
  • Experience with search engine optimisation
  • Good knowledge of CSS and web standards
  • Must be able to construct a website that is cross-browser compatible.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Reliable, if you take on a project it must be finished by the due date.
  • The ability to design for desired audience.
  • The confidence and discipline to work from home unsupervised.
